Do people prefer to buy now or bid in auction on ebay

I have been selling on ebay for a while now and can never decide on whether to list my items on auctions or buy it now.. What do you prefer?? I want peoples opinions, thanks
      Answer1:im always on ebay, and 90% of the time i use the buy it now option. Ive bid on a few things in the past tho
      Answer2:Bid, becasue if you start at a low price people think theyre getting a bargain. You can always put a reserve if you are worried the item will sell too cheap!:)x
      Answer3:Ive bough hundreds of things on Ebay but personally I like the buy it now option better - instant results! You can advertise things as both I believe.
      Answer4:I prefer to bid, because when you win an auction its a great feeling like you really deserve the item, but if you bid price could get too high so buy it now is still a good option. I use both but prefer to bid.
      Answer5:I think it depends on what you are selling and what price you are looking for, for your item.If you are selling a £200 TV and set it as a Buy It Now option eBay will normally take a substantial final value fee from you - £12 plus. However auctioning it off could mean you loose a fair bit of money if it doesnt get enough interest and of course your insertion costs and final value fee will be totaling £10-£15. What I tend to do is set a Buy It Now price and an auction start off. So if I was selling a TV for £200 I would set the Buy It Now price as £200 and an auction price of about £180 to entice visitors to go for the Buy It Now price.So basically if it costs use either Buy It Now or Buy It Now/Auction and If you are selling something that is under £20 I would recommend the auction method.
      Answer6:I definitely prefer bidding. I like to watch things and sometimes buy it now prices are just so high. I sometimes look for clothes that may have sold out in say Topshop for example, but then people put them on Ebay with a buy it now price of over double the original price! I would much rather something started at a lower price and there is a fair bidding war. x

hi all Foxtons estate agents charge 25 to sell a house ive signed the contract what should they charge

hi all i signed up with foxtons estate agents who charge 2.5% plus vat to sell my property....i instructed another agents who advised they charge 1% they told me this figure with out even bargaining i rang foxtons back they are not willing to budge what shall i do

      Answer2:It depends on whether the contract you signed said that you could use other estate agents as well. If it does then you can sign up with another one and you can favour them. However, if the contract states that you can only use Foxtons then unfortunately you are stuck with them.
      Answer3:You will have to stay with Foxtons. Have a look at the contract it should say that you can change after 3 months.You might find that as they are a big firm you might have more chance of them selling your property.

Best job selling things from home

Okay, so Im 16 and I have a knack for selling things. (wow where did that word come from?) Anyways, my mom says that instead of looking for a job, like most teens do, and getting paid minimum wage, I should try selling things from home. I really think I could do it easily, but the only problem is, where do I start? I mean, I have no idea what to do. I want to sell products similar to Mary Kay. Not on Ebay or something like that. We were asked to bid on a local doctors office for a weekly cleaning. It is two levels and has 6 restrooms. The majority of the work would be sweeping all the carpet and sweeping and mopping all the exam and office rooms. It has around 20 individual rooms upstairs and down. It also has a break room, waiting area, and reception area. Other then the sweeping and mopping we would only have to do some minor dusting and things like that. What would be a good rate to go by or a good base price? It is only me and my Husband so no employees to pay and very low supply costs!

My family is not a wealthy family, but we do have a successful family bussiness. How come we have to sacrifice our bussiness, and our success, for something that i dont even understand. O.K. theres some people struggling, but how come were not doing what we usually do? And whats with the "if the stimulus package works...", THIS IS OUR COUNTRY WERE DEALING WITH HERE, not some science project!!! Any one with me here? What is it going to even do? I want to know the specifics, not just " O, it will reiginte the economy". P.S. I got nothing wrong with the man, Obama.......just his ideals.

This is what I use to back test, it is cheap and easy to use:http://ncane.com/mrfThere are three elements to this strategy:- Support and resistance levels- Williams %R (62 periods, 90/10 trigger levels)- MACD (standard settings, 12, 26, 9)ENTRYYou are primarily looking for MACD divergence on the 1 hour chart. When price hits a support/resistance level and MACD is divergent, then look at %R. Be sure that the peaks are fairly close together. %R has to enter or touch the 90 or 10 (depending on trade direction) and pop out in the opposite direction. As soon as it does, you enter. I put on two lots and put the stops below/above the highest resistance/support points. Risk only 0.5-1% of total account combined on both trades. EXITI put one limit at the next support/resistance level in the direction of my trade. The other position I let run for as long as I think the price will keep going. The profit target on the first lot must be at least a 1:1 risk:reward ratio. Once the first target is hit, move the second stop to break even to lock in profit. I have sold a phone on eBay with a 7 day auction and the highest bidder has failed to pay on time. I had clearly stated in the description that payment must be paid within 24 hours. So I sent him a couple of messages to pay etc and doesn’t respond. He can’t be away because he bided in last few seconds and he has a high 100+ 100% positive feedback. I have never had this trouble before when selling; they usually pay same time as purchase. So I was wondering how much money have I lost through eBay fees and I know that they take a percent of the price it went? If so does it happen straight away or after payment has cleared? I didn’t check My Account Balance before or after so I don’t know how that works. Since there’s this new rule for sellers not leaving negative feedbacks to buyers I can’t state the trouble cause in his feedback. Is there anyway to get him into trouble for wasting my time and money?? Any information would help!

After that period of time if they havent responded you will get your Ebay fees reimbursed, and the buyer will get a nonpayment strike on their account. Also how long has it been since the auction ended?!?If they put in a bid in the last few seconds they may not have read the description completely, and could have not noticed that allowed time to pay. Give it 1 week just some time to respond especially if they have 100% possitive feedback ( until friday if they still havent payed then file for "unpaid item"Just make sure you do not send the item out lol.

I need to earn some more money so I was going to put an ad on my neighborhood website for babysitting, but I dont know how much to charge. Ive only babysat 3 times (simply because those were the only times I was asked, thats why I need the ad). I took a class on babysitting and got certified. I usually just let them pay me whatever they want to but I think for the ad I should put my rates. There are no other ads for babysitting on there so I cant look at what other people are charging. Help!
