What would be the advantages of locating near other macdonalds franchises and Why?What would be the disadvantages and Why?!please, i no its a weird question but please at least try and answer it.
      Answer1:Advantages: Other stores nearby are free advertisement for you. If customers miss the McDonalds down the road they see your and stop in.If you run out of cups, you dont have to travel too far to borrow some from another franchise until your order comes in.Disadvantages:They steal customers from you. This is called oversaturation. Starbucks did this and now you see where it has led them...closing stores.

I hope someone can help me out here. Say if I am a business owner (sole trader/partnership) can I sell a franchise to a potential buyer? Or must my business be in a Company structure in order for me to sell the franchise?
      Answer1:You can sell air...I hope this answers some of your questions.But in all seriousness, you can sell any part pertaining to a franchise if you are the sole owner. You can sell its name, its rights, its location, the whole thing, or just parts. But good luck getting a buyer who would be willing to buy only 1 part of a franchise, they would more than likely be looking for the whole cake if you know what I mean.

This is a franchise resale and one that didnt really get going. What I am looking for is sites with people looking for the businesses to buy.The cost of this one is not very high and would, as it is a resale, be quite a lot lower and so might suit some people.Most sites I find are just selling them.
