I have a VAT number - I need Ltd company namenumber

I provide a service to a company that owes me some money and has been avoiding all contact. I have their VAT number and their trading name but cant seem to find out their Ltd Company name to serve them with a claim. I have tried Trading Standards Institute, Companies House, Inland Revenue, Consumer Direct, Office of fair trading. For some reason data protection act does not allow me this information, but If I was to have the company number I could get all the information from that company down to the last breakfast the directors had.Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Using others necktie designs - right or wrong

So I was going to design some neckties and then get them produced but then I found out that the company also has designs that I was going to give them. The only thing is that they got the designs from another designer. So would it be appropriate to use these designs? Also, we will be using our own brand name.
Answer1:If the designs are not yours, then you cant use them and sell the product unless you have permission from the designer or whomever owns the rights to the designs. Thats IF they are original artwork. You cant copyright certain patterns--or logos--or anything using a trademark.Example: if the company has a design that is simple red and white stripes, you can use that, because it is not a "copyrighted" design--nor could that be copyrighted. However, if you have a design incorporating the T.G.I.Fridays sign (red and white stripes, but with the restaurant trademark design,) then you cant use that because it belongs to the restaurant. If the designs were submitted by a designer who attached his or her name to the "line" of neckties, you cannot use those for your designs, but there is nothing that says you cant do something very similiar.
Answer2:No! Do not use someone elses designs without obtaining a commercial license to use them and paying them a royalty based on sales. Those designs are protected by copyright laws (and may have additional protections as well, such as patents). If you use them without permission and payment, you can be sued for every last cent you have and then some, or go to prison.Either negotiate a commercial contract or license to market these designs with their designer or else invent your own.

Crude Oil Trading Opportunities - Is this the Right Time to get into Crude Oil Investing

Oil prices have always driven world economies and the current climate is no different. As long as you know how to trade oil futures, any time is a good time. Here are 2 reasons:1. With oil prices at record lows and OPEC cutting down on production, prices are likely to go up as a sense of balance comes to the oil futures market2. There were problems in November08 when crude prices began to fall, but historically, gas prices are known to have rallied quickly, presenting powerful trading opportunities to those who can spot trends early.

Accounting question - Lending money for my own business

My business needed some cash so I transferred money from my personal account to the business account as a loan and planned to get it back when things get better.I wrote a few personal checks for the business and a few months later started taking back. Can someone tell me the correct way to note this on QuickBooks?* I have signed a loan agreement and the business is also paying me interest (lower than what the bank would charge) which I WILL report on my personal taxes. Answer1:While I dont use Quickbooks, There should be a line on the accounting report for "Business Loans" or "Loans"... Something of that nature. If not, place the note in the "Misc" expenses section, with a note on what its for.
