I have been selling on ebay for a while now and can never decide on whether to list my items on auctions or buy it now.. What do you prefer?? I want peoples opinions, thanks

However auctioning it off could mean you loose a fair bit of money if it doesnt get enough interest and of course your insertion costs and final value fee will be totaling £10-£15. What I tend to do is set a Buy It Now price and an auction start off. So if I was selling a TV for £200 I would set the Buy It Now price as £200 and an auction price of about £180 to entice visitors to go for the Buy It Now price.So basically if it costs use either Buy It Now or Buy It Now/Auction and If you are selling something that is under £20 I would recommend the auction method.

I sometimes look for clothes that may have sold out in say Topshop for example, but then people put them on Ebay with a buy it now price of over double the original price!       Answer1:Hi, Here is one I like and trade personally. Before I get into that, you should test any strategy that you hear about to be sure it works for you. This is what I use to back test, it is cheap and easy to use:http://ncane.com/mrfThere are three elements to this strategy:- Support and resistance levels- Williams %R (62 periods, 90/10 trigger levels)- MACD (standard settings, 12, 26, 9)ENTRYYou are primarily looking for MACD divergence on the 1 hour chart. When price hits a support/resistance level and MACD is divergent, then look at %R. Be sure that the peaks are fairly close together. %R has to enter or touch the 90 or 10 (depending on trade direction) and pop out in the opposite direction. As soon as it does, you enter. I put on two lots and put the stops below/above the highest resistance/support points. Risk only 0.5-1% of total account combined on both trades. EXITI put one limit at the next support/resistance level in the direction of my trade. The other position I let run for as long as I think the price will keep going. The profit target on the first lot must be at least a 1:1 risk:reward ratio. Once the first target is hit, move the second stop to break even to lock in profit. I have sold a phone on eBay with a 7 day auction and the highest bidder has failed to pay on time. I had clearly stated in the description that payment must be paid within 24 hours. So I sent him a couple of messages to pay etc and doesn’t respond. He can’t be away because he bided in last few seconds and he has a high 100+ 100% positive feedback. I have never had this trouble before when selling; they usually pay same time as purchase. So I was wondering how much money have I lost through eBay fees and I know that they take a percent of the price it went? If so does it happen straight away or after payment has cleared? I didn’t check My Account Balance before or after so I don’t know how that works. Since there’s this new rule for sellers not leaving negative feedbacks to buyers I can’t state the trouble cause in his feedback. Is there anyway to get him into trouble for wasting my time and money?? Any information would help!
      Answer1:You can file a dispute no matter what the item is or the allowed payment time ( which can be whatever you want it doesnt have to be 7 days most people actual require immediate payment. ) You will get the Ebay fees reimbursed *if* you win the dispute.What happens is you file a dispute. Then the buyer has so many days to respond to the dispute. After that period of time if they havent responded you will get your Ebay fees reimbursed, and the buyer will get a nonpayment strike on their account. Also how long has it been since the auction ended?!?If they put in a bid in the last few seconds they may not have read the description completely, and could have not noticed that allowed time to pay. Give it 1 week just some time to respond especially if they have 100% possitive feedback ( until friday if they still havent payed then file for "unpaid item"Just make sure you do not send the item out lol.

      Answer2:I would personally write founder and director on the business card. You should not write CEO until your business is proven to be profitable.
