I bought something off ebay that wasn39;t in the condition described in the listing

I emailed the seller about a refund a few days ago but I havent heard back from him. How many days should I give the seller to respond before I open a case with paypal? Answer1:3 Answer2:Ahh yes, i get this problem alot! Give it a week and then file a dispute. In my experience a week is long enough! Good luck though as PayPal and eBay are really quite bad and dont do alot! Answer3:If he does not give you a refund you could sue him and win in court if its worth a lot of money but you would have to have alot of proof! Answer4:that sucks! do it now because it was a few days ago. Answer5:3 to 5 days should be long enough Answer6:here: go to the ebay forums and list this question...in the soapboxlet me know if you can...[url]http://forums.ebay.com/db1/forum....ok, when did you pay? it takes 2 to 3 days to process from the sellers point.what kind of shipping is it? was it free? did you get a confirmation number?parcel/flat rate, reeally slow right now. with the holidays and all its gonna take time, about two weeks. priority mail takes up to 3 or 5 days due to holiday traffic.whats the sellers timeframe to ship item?was it media or book/mag or reg item. whats the feedback on seller? and can you provide item number?since you paid with paypal, obviously you will get a refund, theres no need to jump the gun or neg someone... but for now wait...besides where is the rest of info?sorry thought you hadnt gotten item yet...please excuse me ignorance. so to start over take some pictures of item you received, email them to seller with a note asking if you can get a refund, be nice and polite, but firm. give it 2 days. but you can always get the sellers info from the advanced search in ebay.click on it and then hit find members contact info. you need to have item number at hand. (you can also check invoice in your paypal account, there should be a phone number and address in there) calling also helps. Answer7:E-bay in UNREFUNDABLE unless the seller sais so, just keep the thing, and write a very bad review to the seller, when the rewiew percent drops, so do the customers, i buy on e-bay all the time, they scammed me once too, they said new in box, and it was obviously old, and withoutthe box, and had tears and rips all over it, but on the picture it looked brand new. Answer8:Its must be as long as 2-3 days Answer9:First of all, what is the problem with the item? If the seller is willing to accept a return, you will need to ship the item back to them in the same condition as you received it, at your expense. When the seller gets the item back and verifies that it is the item that they sent, they then and only then will refund your money. Just like anyplace else, you have to return the item before you get a refund. I would Email the seller again. Perhaps they are out of town for the holidays. Perhaps the Feepay (ebay) mail system ate your email (this happens regularly) If you get no reply by the first of the week, request the contact information from ebay and give them a call!
